ShopFest Jr.

ShopFest Jr. was created to encourage and support young entrepreneurs by giving them the opportunity to experience what ShopFest is all about. This program provides a fun, supportive environment where youth can showcase their businesses, sell their products, and gain valuable real-world business experience.

ShopFest Jr. participants will have the opportunity to set up at the Food Truck Rally every Thursday evening from July 9 through August 6 at Cory B. Wride Memorial Park. With five rally nights available, young entrepreneurs can participate in all five weeks or choose only the weeks that fit their schedules.

Each registration includes:

  • A discounted vendor booth rate
  • A 10×10 booth space for each week selected
  • A ShopFest Jr. t-shirt to wear throughout the program
  • A drawstring backpack filled with helpful resources and items
  • The opportunity to interact with customers and gain hands-on sales experience

ShopFest Jr. is designed to help youth develop confidence, practice communication and sales skills, learn customer service, and understand the fundamentals of running a business. Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with the local community while building their entrepreneurial knowledge and experience.

Whether they are selling handmade crafts, artwork, baked goods, or other products, ShopFest Jr. provides a valuable stepping stone for young business owners and serves as excellent preparation for future participation in ShopFest.

We don’t want financial hardship to prevent a young entrepreneur from participating in ShopFest Jr. Thanks to the generous support of Meta, a limited number of scholarships are available for youth vendors who would like to participate but may not have the financial means to do so.

If you have a young entrepreneur who is interested in joining ShopFest Jr. and needs assistance with registration costs, we encourage you to apply for a scholarship. Our goal is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to gain valuable business experience, build confidence, and be part of this exciting program.
